Five characteristics of polylactic acid (PLA) paper cups:
1. Environmentally friendly materials: Polylactic acid (PLA) coated paper replaces polyethylene (PE) coated paper. Polylactic acid is a biodegradable material made by fermenting crops such as corn. The production process of polylactic acid is non-polluting, biodegradable, and can be recycled in nature. It is an ideal green polymer material. It is in line with the global and national environmental protection policies of plastic restriction and ban.
2. Material safety: The safety performance of polylactic acid is very good. Polyethylene (PE) coated paper may be oxidized to carbonyl compounds during the process of hot melting or applying to cup paper, and the cup may emit odor when hot water is poured into it. Polylactic acid coated paper has no peculiar smell, and also has certain antibacterial and anti-ultraviolet properties.
3. Material high and low temperature resistance: polylactic acid (PLA) coated paper has good high and low temperature resistance performance, and it will not leak or deform when made into cold or hot liquid containers. It has good strength and heat sealability, and meets the requirements for the use of coated paper cups.
4. Uniform wall: The polylactic acid coating layer is uniform, flat and smooth, and has a good hand feeling. It has excellent qualities such as strong adhesion and gloss.
